Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment (ReSPECT) is being implemented in Worcestershire from 1st July 2019. The ReSPECT Awareness training is aimed at staff across health and social care organisations that come into contact with patients/service users. The purpose of this training is to provide you with an understanding of ReSPECT and what to do in an emergency. The learning objectives for this training are:

  1. To recognise To recognise & understand the remit of the ReSPECT process and form

  2. To respond appropriately to a patient with a ReSPECT form in an emergency

  3. To understand the changes to the existing countywide DNACPR policy and forms

  4. To work through an example clinical scenario to help identify where a ReSPECT conversation could be appropriate for an individual
