Endoscopy Administrative Workforce Competencies
The purpose of this document is to lay out the core foundation set of competencies for Endoscopy administrative and clerical staff. The document is designed for those staff that support Endoscopy booking and waiting list functions. By bringing together this set of competencies relevant staff will receive the necessary training and support and opportunity to record their level of skill and to work effectively. This framework may be used by employers, education providers and individuals to inform training needs and help lay the foundations for a career pathway framework for non-clinical staff within endoscopy. This is the first time a competency framework has been developed specifically for administrative and clerical staff in Endoscopy and as such provides an important tool to help secure a motivated, competent and sustainable current and future workforce and also offering opportunities for development.
