Cancel Procedures on the Day for Patients who have PT Type of ADM IN OR DIS IN
In this module we are going to show you how to cancel a procedure on the day for a patient who is currently admitted.
In some circumstances, a patient's procedure will need to be cancelled after they have been admitted. Examples of this are:
• The patient was not fit for the procedure
• Failure of the anaesthetic
• Insufficient Theatre Time
Although the patient was admitted, the procedure was not carried out and therefore MUST be cancelled.
PLEASE NOTE: This process can be undertaken on patients who are currently admitted or who have been discharged.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Once this process has been carried out, it cannot be changed.
