This resource has been designed to give NHSBT staff an insight into the work of the many different departments that help to save and improve lives.
It covers areas such as the transportation of blood and blood products, testing and manufacturing of blood products, bacterial screening and quality monitoring. Not forgetting some of the more specialised services such as Red Cell Immunohaematogy and Molecular Diagnostics.
