The role of big data in implementing personalised medicine

Big Data have a profound impact on personalised medicine. The most prevalent big data types in biomedical research include multi-omics, pictures, device data, and electronic health records. The common infrastructures for the management and analysis of biomedical big data are cloud computing and HPC. Advanced machine learning methods like deep learning and cognitive computing are needed for multi-view data processing.
