  • To understand HPFT's statutory duty under the Care Act 2014 to deliver social care functions which are delegated to us by the Local Authority
  • To understand the central principle of wellbeing for the individual in every contact and intervention
  • To understand the importance of being able to provide accurate and accessible advice on local care and support arrangements and to ensure that people can make informed choices
  • To understand the need for people to have information about preventative and universal resources within their communities
  • To understand the importance of early intervention to prevent or delay needs escalating
  • To know and understand the legal requirements; the 'musts' of the Care Act in relation to assessment and eligibility
