The Human Pangenome Reference Consortium (HPRC) aims to construct a comprehensive and representative human pangenome reference to better illustrate the genomic landscape of diverse human populations. In this webinar, we will guide you on how to access HPRC data via the Ensembl genome browser. We will explore the available gene annotation and genetic variation data of the sequence assemblies produced by the project.

Who is this course for?

This webinar is suitable for any researcher in life sciences who is interested in studying genes and genomes. No prior knowledge of bioinformatics is required, but an undergraduate level knowledge of biology would be useful.

Outcomes

By the end of the webinar you will be able to:

  • Describe the Human Pangenome Reference Consortium (HPRC) and how Ensembl is involved.
  • Retrieve annotation and genetic variation data from the HPRC via Ensembl Rapid Release.
