Learning from the NHS Live Event 2: Northern Care Alliance Recording
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA) is an NHS provider that operates four hospital sites and integrated community services across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford. The NCA has made a commitment to become an Anchor Institution.
The NCA Widening Participation Team has developed an online work-related learning placement offer and they are happy to share their approach with other NHS Widening Participation/Work Experience teams and work experience hosts. As a result of positive feedback received, the offer will be increased with a larger number of NCA work experience hosts.
During this presentation you will:
• Hear why and how the NCA developed this offer of online work-related learning
• Learn about three different virtual placement models
• Hear first hand from one of the NCA’s online work-related learning placement hosts and a student who took part in a placement
• Be given some practical suggestions about how to set up an online work-related learning placement
