Brachytherapy

This session provides an introduction to radiotherapy treatments called brachytherapy, using sealed radioactive or electronic sources and specifically the particular hazards associated with this work and how these can be reduced. This session is aimed at all staff on wards (e.g. Nurses, Healthcare Assistants) where brachytherapy is undertaken as well as support staff including porters, theatre staff, cleaners and mortuary staff.
