It is important to realise that becoming proficient in the STarTBack Approach involves a number of steps:

1- Learning needs assessment – shape education to the needs of the individual

2- Educational materials – knowledge that underpins the SB approach

3- Peer-based support groups – moving from knowledge to practice

4- Mentorship – supporting clinicians as they develop

5- Reflection – feedback and response to areas that might be improved

Please note:

The training comprises of two elements. The first element- online training course- is a prerequisite to the second element- StartBack Training which takes place here at Keele University School of Medicine, Keele, UK, or via MS Teams.
