This course will give you an understanding of fraud, bribery, and corruption, as well as the importance of taking personal responsibility to prevent it. Fraud against the NHS can be committed by anyone, and is often motivated by personal greed or necessity. Fraud diverts funds away from patient care and services, which is completely unacceptable.

Each year, over a billion pounds is at risk due to fraud, bribery, and corruption from a small minority of patients, staff, contractors, and suppliers. The NHS Counter Fraud Authority leads efforts to combat this crime nationally, while Local Counter Fraud Specialists work within the health service to raise awareness, prevent fraud, and investigate suspicious activity.
