A new framework for the diagnosis, staging and management of obesity in adults to better align with the concept of obesity as an adiposity-based chronic disease. New framework aims to improve obesity management by aligning it with the comprehensive, personalized treatment approaches used for other chronic non communicable diseases (NCDs).
