Update the Waitlist Category to 28 Day Treat
In this module we are going to show you how to update the wait list category to '28DAYTREAT'.
A patient's operation should not be cancelled for a non-clinical reason, however, if in unavoidable circumstances, a patient's operation is cancelled on the day of admission for a non-clinical reason, the patient MUST be rebooked for the operation within 28 days from the date of cancellation.
This 28 Day standard covers all planned and booked Hospital admissions including Day Surgery.
For effective Wait List management, it is recommended that the wait list category is updated to '28DAYTREAT' so that the Elective Wait List and Theatre Booking Tool reflect this.
