NHSE TEL Support: Management: Innovation in the Workplace

This module looks into how innovation is important for every organisation throughout the world including the NHS. It also looks at how, without new approaches, ideas and solutions, an organisation can potentially stagnate and eventually cease to exist. The course also encourages the learner to try different techniques to produce new innovative ideas.

Objectives

By the end of this module you will be able to

  • Understand what is meant by 'innovation'
  • Learn about where innovative ideas come from
  • Use a technique to encourage creative ideas
  • Understand barriers to creative thinking and resistance to innovation
  • Explain how to gain the commitment of others in moving creative ideas forward
