NHSE TEL Support: Domestic Violence and Abuse Level 2

This e-learning module is designed to provide level 2 training in accordance with NICE guidance PH50 Domestic violence and abuse: multi-agency working, February 2014. It covers an understanding of the epidemiology of domestic violence and abuse (DVA) and how it affects people’s lives along with the role of professional in intervening safely. Staff will also know how to respond to a disclosure of DVA sensitively and in a way that ensures the person's safety, and how to direct to specialist services.

The learner will:

•understand the prevalence of DVA and how it effects all members of society
•recognise the signs and symptoms of DVA
•know how and when to ask about DVA safely and in a way that makes it easier for people to disclose
•know how to respond to a disclosure of DVA and what support is available
