NHSE TEL Support: Emergency Treatment of Anaphylactic Reactions
The aims of this course are to raise awareness of the causes, signs, symptoms and treatment of anaphylaxis and to improve patient care in emergency situations and after. The main aim of this module is to ultimately save lives.
Objectives
• The course will cover the following topics:
• The process of an anaphylactic reaction
• Triggers to a reaction
• Signs and symptoms
• Importance of a patient's history when assessing symptoms
• Correct assessment process to confirm diagnosis
• Correct treatment and care procedure
• Correct discharge and follow up procedure
