This long form piece discusses the effectiveness of AI detection tools, particularly in the context of reflective writing. It highlights the challenges educators face in assessing learner knowledge and integrity while navigating the complexities introduced by generative AI in assessments. We carry out some original work to understand the effectiveness of AI writing detectors and we aresurprised by the results. You can get a certificate to demonstrate you have read this and understand some of the issues.
