Multiprofessional Clinical Supervision Resource for Advanced Practitioners (Pharmacist)
An advanced practitioner in training may meet with many different clinical supervisors for different clinical sessions. In order to optimise their learning experience in a busy clinical environment and the understanding of the supervisor's role, we have developed a Multi-professional Clinical Supervision Resource. Why use this Resource? This resource helps bridge supervision gaps when trainees and supervisors come from different professional backgrounds. It supports supervisors in understanding trainees’ scope of practice and helps trainees set clear learning objectives.
What does it include?
A three-page Microsoft Word document (digital or printable) featuring:
• Links to guidance for supervisors.
• Sections for trainees to define learning aims before sessions.
• Space for joint discussions on achieving objectives.
• A structured log for trainees to track progress and reflect.
How often you can use it?
We recommend at each clinical session- especially with a new supervisor. However it can be used as often as needed to support goal setting, discussions, and feedback.
