As staff working in digital fields such as technology enhanced learning (TEL), we often have limited opportunities to present to large groups or refine our public speakingskills. This CPD session is open to anyone in the TEL Network who wants to learn more about effectivepresentationtechniques. It will include practical tips and insights from an experienced speaker, with a focus on overcoming nerves, structuring content, and engaging an audience. Karen has many years of experience delivering training and mentoring people. Training including IT subjects, systems training, confidence building and train-the-trainer.

A follow-up session will be offered to a small group of volunteers who wish to practise delivering a shortpresentationin a supportive environment and receive constructive feedback.

This session may also be a helpful stepping stone for those interested in delivering their own CPD sessions in future, as part of our ongoing effort to recruit and support new contributors to the TEL Network's CPD programme.

During this session you will:

  • Develop confidence and strategies for effective public speakingby exploring techniques to manage nerves and present with clarity and impact.
  • Explore best practices in structuring and delivering engagingpresentationstailored to diverse audiences within technology-enhanced learning contexts.
