ACS Ward/OPD and CATU PGD & Drug Assessment
This is the Patient Group Directive (PGD) & Medicines Protocol DRUG ASSESSMENT.This is amandatory requirementfor all registered nurses/paramedics working on the ACS wards / Outpatient Departments & CATUs.This assessment is the final element that will enable registered nurses/paramedics to be able to give prescription drugs to their patient group without the need for a prescription, under certain circumstances.Other elements required are listed on each drug PGD butALLrequire:-Completion of the generic PGD eLearning (3 yearly)Hold an in date Acute Illness Management Course certificate (valid for 3 years)
