Discover the NHS - Work Experience @RWT
Our “Discover the NHS" work experience programme is directed at younger school pupils (mainly Year 10) who are interested in a clinical career but cannot undertake work experience within the hospital.
We offer a week’s hands-on work experience programme covering sessions such as Patient Observations, Patient Moving & Handing, CPR, A&E, Maternity, Theatres and many more. A number of our staff from phlebotomists to ODP’s support us in delivering these sessions to make them as true to life as possible.
This programme is held at our NHS Futures Zone,a bespoke facility based in a local school adjacent to the hospital grounds – it consists of a training class room and a “clinical suite” with interactive manikins, laparoscopy training and birth simulation kits, bp machines, phlebotomy arm to name but a few.
