Enhance Fellowship East Midlands
Summary of fellowship project funded via Enhance/DCHS, exploring expanding the Enhance offer to other health prpfessionals.
Extract from poster:
The ENHANCE programme was developed in 2022 following the junior doctors report that highlighted that training
needed to focus on creating more generalist skills to tackle the increasing complexity, diversity and inequity that
patients face.
Initially the programme was opened to doctors as part of their foundation training and last year it was opened to
ACP's. In 2024/25 we will be further developing the programme to AHP, social care and nurses to
nurture practitioners to have a more generalist approach to their practice and utilising the value of MDT working. We
will aim to increase the numbers of clinicians undertaking the programme to meet the 30 participants that are
required to engage in the programme in 2025.
