Managing Anaphylaxis in General Practice
This interactive module is designed to support clinicians in the early recognition and effective management of anaphylaxis within a general practice setting. Through a series of videos, multiple-choice questions, and reflective prompts, learners will:
- Apply the ABCDE approach for structured assessment of acutely unwell patients.
- Understand the first-line treatment for anaphylaxis, including correct adrenaline dosing and administration site.
- Explore timing for repeat adrenaline doses and the role of adjunct therapies.
- Practise effective handover communication using the SBAR framework.
- Consider best practice for follow-up consultations, including patient education on adrenaline auto-injectors, trigger avoidance, and emergency planning.
