Case Study: Extended Reality in Education Community of Practice
In this case study, the development of a community of practice is explored to:
- Foster sharing of good work with virtual, augmented and extended reality in the NHS
- Provide resources to the NHS community to support the delivery and development of immersive technologies for health and care education.
A community of practice called “Extended Reality in Education (XRE) is the community for sharing, discussing, and staying informed about immersive technologies in education, including virtual and augmented reality.The meeting was created to share, discuss and inform good practice in virtual reality use for education, delivered primarily as a monthly “show and tell” style meeting, with communication by email and through the NHS Learning Hub between meetings.
