First Contact Practitioners in Primary Paramedic Roadmap - 2026
The Roadmaps are relevant to all appropriately experienced statutory regulated healthcare professionals specialising in first contact practice; those either working in FCP roles in primary care or those working toward such roles. To uphold safe patient care the capabilities detailed in the KSAs are those that practitioners in FCP roles need to maintain, and those working towards FCP roles need to attain.
The application of frameworks are dependent on the determined scope of practice, appropriate knowledge and skills that may apply to specific patient groups, and the job description that an individual FCP is working under as part of the organisational governance processes for their role.
There are five different speciality Roadmaps to Practice:
- First Contact Practitioners in Primary Care: Musculoskeletal
- First Contact Practitioners in Primary Care: Paramedic
- First Contact Practitioners in Primary Care: Occupational Therapy
- First Contact Practitioners in Primary Care: Dietitian
- First Contact Practitioners in Primary Care: Podiatry
