Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment Framework
This guidance gives practical advice on how to apply the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s Standards for student supervision and assessment and builds on the Safe Learning Environment Charter: What good looks like.
It is aimed at teams preparing people to supervise or assess learners on Nursing and Midwifery Council-approved programmes.
It applies across the NHS, social care, and private,voluntary and independent sectors and is relevant to teams providing support for the following roles:
⦁ practice supervisor
⦁ practice assessor
⦁ academic assessor
