This core content outlines the essential knowledge and skills required for individuals preparing to undertake the roles of practice supervisor, practice assessor and academic assessor in nursing and midwifery. The content is structured to ensure individuals in these roles are equipped to support learners effectively, promote safe and inclusive learning environments, and meet regulatory requirements. Additional content should be added to this to meet local needs. It is aimed at teams preparing individuals to supervise or assess learners on Nursing and Midwifery Council-approved programmes.
