RCPath Industry Leaders Forum 2025 (virtual) - 8 October 2025

This is a recording of an event to bring together industry leaders and pathology experts to explore collaboration and partnerships that help advance pathology and improve patient care. Leading figures from across pathology and industry came together for an engaging programme of talks and panel discussions. There was an update on corporate engagement at the RCPath, and invited speakers presented on areas of alignment in the '3 shifts' that are the focus of the NHS 10 year plan: prevention, shift to digital, and community-based care. Speakers included:

  • RCPath Vice President for Workforce and Corporate Engagement, Professor Peter Johnston
  • Professor Carel Le Roux, chemical pathologist and specialist in metabolic medicine at University College Dublin
  • Dr Karen Mitchell, Consultant Chemical Pathologist, NHS Grampian, and Chair of the RCPath Pathology Informatics Committee
  • Nicky Hollowood, Lead Healthcare Scientist, POCT Cross Site Lead, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust
  • Dr Marion Burdin PhD, Illumina's NHS, OFH and Genomics England liaison.
