NHSE TEL Support: Cure Level 2
This interactive module will help improve your knowledge of treating tobacco addiction using the CURE protocol. You will learn how each aspect of the programme works; from identifying smokers and the level of their addiction, through to prescribing nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) and helping patients to understand how they can get the most benefits.
By the end of the module, you should be able to;
- Feel empowered to begin treatment as soon as patients are admitted to hospital
- Prescribe NRT for all smokers on admission, guided by the protocol
- Help smokers understand NRT and how to gain the most benefit
