The roundtable panel discuss the need to leverage the power of digital pathology to establish practical solutions that will positively impact global health for everyone.

Mediator: Professor Mike Osborn, the President of the Royal College of Pathologists, UK.

Panellists:

1. Dr Abdulaziz Al Ajlan, Chairman of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

2. Dr Bethany Williams a digital pathology research fellow at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Leeds, and the Lead for Digital Pathology Training, Education and PPI at the National Pathology Imaging Co-Operative

3. Professor Naresh Kikkeri, Professor and Section Head of Pathology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre and Professor of Pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA

4. Dr Peter Carey, a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for the UK National External Quality Assessment (NEQAS) haematology scheme and in collaboration with paediatric oncology colleagues, he provides a remote diagnostic telepathology service to the children’s cancer service in Blantyre, Malawi

5. Dr Betmouni a consultant neuropathologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS FT and has diagnostic and research experience at several NHS Trusts and Higher Education Institutions in the UK.
