Trauma and Occupational Therapy
This session looks at the prevalence of trauma within mental health and learning disability populations and how trauma can impact on a person’s occupational functioning and ability to engage in meaningful occupations. We explore which occupational interventions can be used by the Occupational Therapist in each of the stages of recovery from complex trauma and consider a trauma informed approach to supporting those who we provide services to.
