NHSE GP Differential Attainment Toolkit

Equity and Fairness in Training

Not yet rated

This presentataion will consider the issue of equity and fairness in training and in particular differential attainment. We have made little progress in addressing this over 20 years and we need to understand that differential attainment is a symptom not a diagnosis. We also need to get away from our deficit model and negative stereotyping of some groups of trainees. The presentation also considers what initiatives we need to tackle these complex issues.

Additional information

Introduction to Differential Attainment, possible underlying causes and how to address it. The presentation can be used as the basis of a workshop for faculty development.
