Course Details:
Audience:All staff who care for pregnant women, mothers and babies
Duration:35 - 45 minutes
Medical staff
- Complete either e-learning or face to face session once
Midwives and Maternity Support Workers
- Complete e-learning once and attend annual face to face session
By the end of this e-learning programme you will be able to:
- Recognise the importance of breastfeeding and getting breastfeeding off to the best start
- Identify the 5 standards of the UNICEF baby friendly initiative
- Support mother and baby throughout the feeding journey
- Understand the importance of developing a relationship with baby antenatally and building on this postnatally
