Clinical case studies and frameworks

These case studies and frameworks will help learners:

• Understand the complexity of the health needs of some newly-arrived migrants (e.g. refugees, people seeking asylum).
• Identify the capabilities and knowledge required by practitioners to care for this population group.
• Understand the role of advocates and support organisations like the Refugee Council, Migrant Help, etc.
• Describe the mental and physical problems refugees can commonly present with in primary care and other settings
• Explain challenges this population group may face when trying to/accessing care and how to improve the situation.
