Financial Management in Healthcare:
The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) is the professional body for finance staff working in healthcare. It is a charitable organisation that promotes the highest professional standards and innovation in financial management and governance across the UK health economy through its local and national networks. The HFMA is the biggest provider of healthcare finance and business education and training in the UK and has worked in partnership with NHS England to provide a number of HFMA bitesize online courses free of charge to all NHS staff. Understanding of health economics and the landscape of the NHS outside of the clinical arena is important to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge and skills to develop & improve services.
