National policies and documents

National guidance in relation to neonatal care is continually updated.  Organisations such as British Association of Perinatal Care (BAPM), National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and individual professional bodies will continue to release guidance and further resources.  Over the years a number of reviews have been undertaken both to benchmark services and review services where concerns have been raised.  Here you will find links to pertinent reviews that have influenced policies and decision making around the provision of neonatal care, and relevant policies and guidelines that have been published.  Please note, it is important to keep abreast of any new publications as this is an ever-changing arena!
