There is increasing recognition of the valuable role that Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) play in supportingthe diverse needs of individuals intheir recovery from mental ill-health.

HEE SWwere keen to speak with students in a variety of AHP professions about new opportunities which exist within mental healthcare, the rewarding career it can offer, and the value that various AHP interventions add to recoveryacross services. We are also keen to recognise that AHPs cannot work in physical healthcare without consideration to a person's mental health needs.

The AHP Student Roadshows are a pilot project, designed and delivered with AHP students and an Expert by Experience, providing workshops aimed at inspiring AHP students to consider howmental healthcare fits in their career journey.

The information within this resource supports the learning of students attending the workshops, but may also be valuable to anyone looking to learn more about the role of AHPs in mental healthcare.
