Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment (ReSPECT)Authorshiptraining is aimed at those professionals that will be having ReSPECT conversations and completing and endorsing the patient held form. The learning objectives for this training are:

  1. To recognise & understand the remit of the ReSPECT process and form
  2. To understand the changes to the existing countywide DNACPR policy and forms
  3. To work through a series of clinical scenarios to help identify where a ReSPECT conversation could be appropriate for an individual
  4. Know how to complete the form in line with the ReSPECT policy
  5. To respond appropriately to a patient with a ReSPECT form in an emergency
  6. Learn some helpful communication tips to enable you to have the most effective ReSPECT conversations
