Totally Implanted Venous Access Device (TIVAD)
This eLearning course will give you an understanding on the theory of how to ensure safe and consistent minimum standards of practice for safely managing Totally Implanted Venous Access Devices (TIVAD), reducing the risk of potential complications that can occur with TIVADs and maintaining infection prevention.
Note: This e learning is intended as an introduction to portacaths. This must be followed by face to face training, completion of the Trust competency package and formal assessments before you are deemed competent to start using the device.
