Unit 1 Recovery and care planning
Unit 1: Recovery and Care Planning
Context:
This unit will focus on the concept of recovery and how this applies to care planning in a clinical setting. There is no single definition of recovery, as several factors define this. The learning unit will look at these factors and how mental health professionals can adopt a recovery-focused approach in practice.
This unit will include key reference materials to review during the unit or if you prefer at the end of the unit.
By the end of the Unit 1 you will:
• Understand the concept of recovery and how this is applied in the care planning process
• Reflect on your own practice and your relationship with service users
• Apply examples of best practice within your work with service users
