Unit 2 Person Centred Care
Care Planning Module
Unit 2: Person-Centred Care
Context
This unit will focus on person centred care and what this means in practice. By working in this way, we are supporting service users to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to manage long-term mental health conditions, and make informed choices about their care. Person centred care ensures that individuals are always treated with compassion, dignity and respect.
This unit will include key reference materials to review during the unit or if you prefer at the end of the unit.
By the end of the Unit 2 you will:
- Understand the concept of person centred care and how this applies to your practice
- Be able to reflect on how person-centred care is a strengths-based approach and use this in the process of care planning
