Unconscious bias

Not yet rated
Have you ever wondered how you make decisions? Most of us would like to think that we weigh all the alternatives and come up with well thought-out conclusions, but every day we make countless decisions without even realising it. This is known as unconscious bias.

Unconscious biases are our unintentional people preferences, formed by our socialisation and experiences, including exposure to the media.

This module will help you:

1.Understand the filters through which we view, and interpret, ourselves and others
2.Appreciate how unconscious bias can adversely affect judgement and decision-making in regards to recruitment and business performance
3.Experience micro-inequities and how they can influence performance
4.Learn how affinity bias affects rapport building in recruitment and beyond
