Talking Straight on Racism

Not yet rated

The RCoA condemns racism and discrimination in any shape or form. We are committed to supporting our fellows, members and staff from black, Asian, and ethnic minority backgrounds. We recognise the importance of the issues of racism and discrimination in society raised by the Black Lives Matter movement, and we understand that staying silent on these issues is not appropriate.

The RCoA talking straight on racism webinar openly discussed racism in Anaesthesia and beyond. The talk centred around society, medicine and the specialty of Anaesthesia. Chair Russell Ampofo, Director of Education, training and Examinations also pressed the panel on what actions the College, as well as Anaesthetists, can take now to help combat racism in the immediate and long term.
