Nasogastric Tube Insertion and Management
This eLearning module is created by Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to provide training on nasogastric tube insertion and management for adult and community nurses, community children's nurses, and theatre staff. It covers anatomy, indications, contraindications, procedural differences, aspiration challenges, and accurate documentation. The module enhances nurses' competence, improves patient care, and ensures safety through practical sessions and competency assessments.
Learners are also required to attend a clinical skills workshop for a practical assessment, ensuring they gain essential skills for better patient outcomes and professional growth, contributing to high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
