Urgent Community Response & Virtual Ward Capabilities Framework eLearning
This Virtual Ward and Urgent Community Response course is an interactive eLearning resource for health and care workforces providing out of hospital services. This is aligned to the NHS England Virtual Ward and Urgent Community Response Capabilities Framework which aims to support the development of workforce capabilities and career pathways for staff in community-based careers.
The Virtual Ward and Urgent Community eLearningaimed at any health and care staff who come into contact with adults in virtual ward and urgent community response services. This includes GPs, Consultants, Advance care practitioners, community nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, ambulance staff and local authority staff, including the non-registered workforce.
The eLearning guides the learner through core capabilities applicable to out of hospital services, virtual ward specific capabilities and urgent community response capabilities aligned to the Virtual Ward and Urgent Community framework. This aims to support our workforce to develop and build confidence and capability to provide safe and quality services. This framework is a guide to steer workforce education, training and career progression as well as informing local workforce models.
The eLearning builds on existing good practice and sets out therelated learning for health and care professionals working in these teams. This included the new skills and capabilities required to enable effective and efficient use of new technologies and digitalisation.
Thisaims to develop health and care staff capabilities and confidence in caring for patients with in out of hospital settings, improving the quality of care received by adults.
