Realising the Ambitions: Insights from how People Understand, Interpret and Implement the Ambitions Framework for Palliative and End of Life Care.

This report details aresearch project that used a multi-stage design to learn from case studies, focus groups and workshops. It focused on how people (members of the public, health care staff, health care managers, and commissioners of services) with an interest and/or involvement in palliative and end-of-life care, understand, interpret, and implement the Ambitions Framework – and to learn fromhow they make sense of the Framework to inform action to realise the Ambitions. Learners will benefit from learning about the methods used in the project andwhat workedwell for people, and the challenges they faced, in understanding and implementing the Ambitions and embedding the foundations, and in finding out about the opportunities for transferring learning. The Grab and Go Guide (Small Steps, Big Vision) developed as an output from this study can benefit learners who wish to use it for reflection, discussion and action-planning in realising the ambitions.
