This module covers Antibiotic stewardship using the 'start smart then focus' concept. You will cover Antibiotic resistance and it's impact, Penicillin allergy documentation, hospital acquired infections such as C. Difficile, MRSA and Carbapenem producing Enterobacteriaceae.
The course also covers common infective conditions such as: Lower urinary tract infections, Catheter prophylaxis, Cellulitis, Endocarditis, Respiratory Tract Infections such as Pneumonia and IECOPD, Bacterial meningitis, Osteomyelitis and Sepsis.
Information is also provided on Gentamicin Monitoring and Renal dosing adjustments.
