Medicines Management Assessment _ Qualified Staff only maths paper
Welcome to the Online Medicine Maths Assessment tool.
This tool is designed to assess your skills in calculating and administering medicines safely. There are some excerpts to read in the learning tool but it is advisable to click on the links and read the full documents online.
Please allow around an hour for the maths paper. It is advisable to use a paper and pen for workings out as some calculations carry over from one question to the next.
Calculators can be used.
It is expected within the Trust that all fluids and medicines should be delivered through a pump or driver. In exceptional circumstances (e.g.if equipment is not available) it is sometimes necessary to count drips as a form of delivery which is why some questions will ask for this. This would only be in situations where non delivery would result in a patients delay in treatment and compromise patient safety.
Please ensure you have completed all sections of this module prior to taking the assessment. If you do not complete all sections prior to taking the assessment, this may mean your record does not show that you have completed this training.
