Course aims & objectives
Aim:
- The aim of this e-Learning module is to provide learners with a basic understanding of waste segregation within a healthcare environment.
Objectives (for learners to be conversant with):
- Generic healthcare waste legislation.
- Identification of healthcare waste streams.
- How incorrect disposal can have an influence on environmental pollution, waste disposal costs, safety and can ultimately lead to fines.
