This module is designed to introduce you to Prevent safeguarding and enhance your understanding of recognising the signs that may indicate an individual is influenced by extreme ideologies. These ideologies can lead them to support terrorism, putting themselves and the community at risk.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Safeguarding Prevent duty and the statutory responsibilities we have to keep vulnerable people safe.
  • Think about who may be vulnerable to extremism and why.
  • Identify behaviours that would give us cause for concern and when someone needs help.
